But sometimes the network layout is not changed, so how to improve the stability and speed of the WIFI network?
1. Use the maximum speed setting supported by the device
Go to the router settings interface and set the parameters of WIFI. Set the speed of the wireless network to the maximum speed supported by the network device, that is, if the device supports 802.11N, set it to 802.11N, if it supports 802.11G, set it to 802.11G, and try not to set it to 802.11g+a/b.
2. Set the MIMO enhancement mode
If your wireless router supports MIMO boost mode, please also check this option in the settings screen, and then set the "Bandwidth" to "20/40MHZ" (choose the highest setting). However, not all routers that support MIMO have this option, if you don't see this option, just set the bandwidth.
3. Enable QOS control
If you see the option 802.11e/QOS, you may consider enabling it. In the LAN, if there are too many students who download, friends who use PPS to watch Internet TV, and students who use P2P programs, even if the signal is good, downloading and surfing the Internet will be very stuck, and it will be much better to enable QOS control.
4. Manage the wireless network card
Nowadays, many notebooks are 802.11N wireless network cards, and wireless routers with 802.11N can theoretically reach 300M network speeds, but sometimes the network card still needs to be set. Right-click on "Computer" in the Start menu and select "Manage". If it is XP, you can right-click on the desktop "My Computer" and select "Manage".
5. Check whether 802.11N is enabled
Find Device Manager on the management interface and find the wireless adapter. Take a look at the Advanced tab in the properties and check if the 802.11N mode is already set to Enabled. At the same time, set Throughput Enhancement to Enabled and set the channel to Auto or the highest value.
Postscript: It should be noted that the wireless network card must be matched with the wireless router to get the best effect, for example, the 802.11N network card needs to be matched with the 802.11N router to maximize the effect. By the way, there is also a 128M Super-G specification, which may be encountered on the old network card and router, this specification is more picky, in addition to the router and network card both support this specification, it is also recommended that the wireless router and network card are a brand of products.
