Win10 shutdown There are currently no power options available

Win10 computer shuts down, click the power button under the start menu, why is it prompted: There are currently no power options available.

Method 1:

1. Windows + R : type: secpol.msc
2. The Local Security Policy window opens (there are likely to be more user fiendly ways to get there)
3. Click: Security Settings – Local Policies – User Rights Assignment, make sure you get to Policy: Shut down the system
a. Use Properties to open a little window which allows you to add your user id or group (there is likely to be a Add User or Group button).
b. Once your user or group has been added, click OK
4. Sign out, Restart.
5. Sign in again: suddenly, the Restart & Shutdown options were available.

The general idea is to modify the security policy -> local policy -> user permission assignment -> turn off the permission members in the system and add the corresponding user to it.

Method 2:

Try running this command at the beginning and running the cmd window with administrative privileges:

Login is visible.

After that, run secpol.msc again to see if the user, admin, and backup operator are there

If the user is okay with the policy, they must log out and log in again for the shutdown to work
