Definition and usage

The accept attribute specifies the types of files that can be accepted by the server for submissions via file upload.

Note: The accept attribute only works > <input type="file".

Tip: Please do not use this property as your verification tool. The file upload should be validated on the server.

Example

Specifies that the server only accepts image files in file uploads:

Login is visible.

Attribute value

value	description
audio/*	All sound files are accepted.
video/*	All video files are accepted.
image/*	All image files are accepted.
MIME_type	A valid MIME type without parameters. SeeThe hyperlink login is visible.to get a complete list of standard MIME types.

When uploading files, you need to restrict the specified file type, and the accept attribute is only valid in FF and chrome. So what files can accept restrict? See the table below.
