On the morning of January 13, the Cyberspace Administration of China held a press conference announcing a number of websites, columns and WeChat public accounts that had recently been closed in accordance with the law. This is the first time that the Cyberspace Administration of China has released relevant information this year. A total of 50 websites, channels (columns) and WeChat public accounts were closed in accordance with the law, including 24 websites, 9 website channels (columns) and 17 WeChat official accounts. According to Xu Feng, head of the Mobile Network Administration of the Cyberspace Administration of China, in addition to the real-name system of instant messaging, this year the Cyberspace Administration of China will comprehensively promote the management of online real identity information, based on the principle of "real name in the background and voluntary in the front office", including Weibo, Tieba and other real-name systems, which will increase the intensity of supervision and management of law enforcement.
