Cross-border payment connect is another important measure of the Central Government to support Hong Kong's development and people's livelihood, and promote cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong
The People's Bank of China and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority jointly promote the interconnection of the Mainland and Hong Kong's FPS systems to provide real-time cross-border payment services for residents and institutions of the two places.
The participating organisations of the two places have launched the service to the public in June 2025. On June 22, 2025, Cross-border Payment Connect will be put into operation.
