Android Debug Bridge (adb) je univerzalno ukazno orodje, ki vam omogoča komunikacijo z emulatorjem ali povezano Android napravo. Omogoča različne operacije naprav, kot so nameščanje in odpravljanje napak, ter omogoča dostop do Unix lupine, ki jo je mogoče uporabiti za izvajanje različnih ukazov na emulatorjih ali povezanih napravah. Orodje deluje kot program odjemal-strežnik in vključuje tri komponente:
odjemalec pošilja ukaze. Odjemalec teče na razvojnem računalniku. Odjemalca lahko pokličete iz terminala ukazne vrstice z ukazom ADB.
Program v ozadju, ki izvaja ukaze na napravi. Program v ozadju teče kot ozadni proces na vsakem emulatorju ali instanci naprave.
