Android Debug Bridge (adb) er et universelt kommandolinjeverktøy som lar deg kommunisere med en emulatorinstans eller en tilkoblet Android-enhet. Den legger til rette for ulike enhetsoperasjoner, som installasjon og feilsøking av applikasjoner, og gir tilgang til Unix-skallet, som kan brukes til å kjøre ulike kommandoer på emulatorer eller tilkoblede enheter. Verktøyet fungerer som et klient-server-program og inkluderer tre komponenter:
klient, komponenten sender kommandoer. Klienten kjører på utviklingsmaskinen. Du kan starte klienten fra kommandolinjeterminalen ved å sende en adb-kommando.
