Android Debug Bridge (adb) est un outil universel en ligne de commande qui vous permet de communiquer avec une instance d’émulateur ou un appareil Android connecté. Il facilite une variété d’opérations de dispositifs, comme l’installation et le débogage d’applications, et donne accès au shell Unix, qui peut être utilisé pour exécuter diverses commandes sur des émulateurs ou des appareils connectés. L’outil fonctionne comme un programme client-serveur et comprend trois composants :
client, le composant envoie des commandes. Le client tourne sur la machine de développement. Vous pouvez invoquer le client depuis le terminal de ligne de commande en émettant une commande adb.
Un programme en arrière-plan qui exécute des commandes sur l’appareil. Le programme en arrière-plan s’exécute en arrière-plan sur chaque émulateur ou instance de périphérique.
Le serveur, qui gère la communication entre le client et le programme en arrière-plan. Le serveur s’exécute en arrière-plan sur la machine de développement.
