Recently, I watched an issue of CCTV's "Chinese Poetry Conference". The competition is not as serious as other competitions, and it is more about tasting poetry with a relaxed attitude.
After reading it, I found that I only answered a few questions correctly. I have to say that this show aroused my interest in poetry. In the past, memorizing poetry was just to complete learning tasks; Now I feel that poetry has such a long history, it turns out that our emotions and views on things are also in poetry. The charm of Chinese poetry lies in the fact that it gives people endless imagination. Or the confidence that "I am born to be useful", or the lofty ambition of "I will be the top", or the homesickness of "thinking of my relatives every holiday"......
In today's era of such a fast pace of life, you may not have to go to the deep mountains and old forests to calm your mind, simply read a poem or word, you can find your own quiet little world in the chaotic world. Unfortunately, today's students would rather hold their phones and look at the computer than take a few minutes to savor a poem. Except for the dozen or so poems that are usually memorized in Chinese class, basically students have not been exposed to poetry. If you read poetry, the poem will return you with a richer spiritual world.
