【About the author】
Author: Jaume Cabré was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1947. Writer, linguist, who writes in Catalan, is known as one of the most important Catalan writers of our time. He began writing while studying linguistics at the University of Barcelona, published his first literary work in 1974, and has since made achievements in many fields such as novels, dramas, film and television dramas, and non-fiction writing. Influenced by Proust, Faulkner, Borges and others, Jomo Cavre has published ten novels, five short stories, three anthologies, three young adult novels and more than ten plays, and has won numerous honors, including five Golden Saw Criticism Awards, four Catalan Literary Criticism Awards, two Barcelona City Awards, Seven Astronomy Awards, Catalan Literary Honorary Awards, Currier Awards for Best Foreign Novels, San Giordi Cross and many more.
Translator: Qiu Meilan, a native of Hsinchu, Taiwan, graduated from the Department of Mass Communication of Tamkang University, master's degree in Chinese and Spanish interpretation and translation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and has been a reporter, compiler, editor, and part-time lecturer in Chinese at the Translation Department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
