"Yangchun Baixue" was selected and edited by Zhao Wenli of the Southern Song Dynasty. The book is divided into eight volumes of the main collection and one volume of the outer collection, with a total of 671 words and more than 230 lyricists, the first three volumes are mostly Northern Song Dynasty words, and the vast majority of the following volumes are Southern Song Dynasty words. The eight volumes of the main collection are all works that are mainly graceful and elegant, while the outer collection contains more bold and tragic works by Zhang Yuangan, Xin Qiji, Liu Guo and others. This is an imitation of the old banknotes commissioned by the Palace Museum during the Republic of China to be copied by the Commercial Press.
Most of the poets selected in "Yangchun Baixue" are Southern Song Dynasty poets, and very few Northern Song Dynasty poets are selected. This book is not widely circulated, and in the early Qing Dynasty, Zhu Yizun's "Ci Zong" and Shen Chenyuan and others edited "Poems of the Past Dynasties", neither of which has been recorded. It is the latest in the Song Dynasty poetry selection, and many of the works collected are written by unknown poets. Chen Zhensun of the Southern Song Dynasty mentioned in his "Solving the Problem of Zhizhai Book Records" that Zhao Wenli's operation scale of compiling and selecting "Yangchun Baixue" is "taking the words left by "Caotang Poetry Yu" and close people. Many poets' works also rely only on this, so it is often an important material for compiling and distinguishing forgeries.
