Mobile intelligent terminals usually have four characteristics: first, they have the ability to access the network at high speed; second, it has an open and scalable operating system platform; third, it has strong processing capabilities; Fourth, it has rich human-computer interaction methods (touch, voice recognition, etc. are highlighted).
My own understanding: intelligent terminal equipment should be able to replace some manual work, provide work efficiency, bring convenience to individuals or society, intelligent terminal equipment is actually a microcomputer (here and the computer in our life is still different), can allow developers to write code, use software and hardware to implement some functional modules, can replace or assist humans to complete some work, improve work efficiency or reduce labor costs, etc.
0x00: The cause of the incident
A few days ago, I followed my girlfriend to the Xiaochang Immigration Hall to apply for a passport, and I was quite touched, because the work efficiency was too low, and it took more than 2 hours to apply for a passport! It's not that there are a lot of people handling it, and the efficiency is too low, resulting in congestion. Because, I applied for a passport in Shanghai myself, and the whole process is estimated to be completed in less than 10 minutes...
0x01: Comparison of handling processes
Xiaochang: 1: Receive the form 2: Fill in the form manually 3: The staff will conduct a preliminary review and issue a payment slip 4: Go to the opposite bank to pay the bill 5: Collect photos 6: Enter the information by the staff 7: The process is completed. Time: more than 2 hours.
Shanghai: 1: Print out the form of the ID card 2: Collect photos 3: Preliminary review and input of information by the staff 4: Payment 5: Completion of processing. Duration: 10 minutes.
The first point is to go to the bank opposite the office hall to pay, which takes nearly an hour to queue up for payment, and the second point is that the smart terminal conducts "photo collection", which takes more than half an hour. Although there are many processes that need to be optimized, the topic of this article is smart terminals, so I want to talk about the smart terminal photo capture process.
0x02: Comparison of photo acquisition processes
Xiaochang: intelligent terminal + manual assistance, average time: 90 seconds/person Introduction: Before doing the smart terminal device, the screen will display a protocol, the staff will help you press the "agree button", then, according to some sensors, let the camera slowly fall to the right position, and then, take two photos, then, the staff will choose a photo at will, click to finish, the terminal will print out a receipt for the staff to use when entering your information. (During this period, the smart terminal sometimes has an error, obviously the person has sat in front of the smart terminal very standardly, and also prompted please raise your head, I don't remember the specific information clearly, anyway, the person delayed for 3 minutes to get it done)
Shanghai: manual photography, average time: 30 seconds/person Introduction: Take the collection form, the staff scans the barcode, and then, sit on the small bench, face the camera, the staff can take pictures of you, and the collection is completed.
In contrast, both require one labor, one takes one and a half minutes, and the other takes half a minute, a difference of three times. The use of smart terminals is very inefficient, which seriously slows down the processing efficiency, which is completely cumbersome, why use smart terminals?
In the case of 60 people: Xiaochang needs to consume 90 minutes, Shanghai needs 30 minutes, so you can see the obvious gap.
The picture below is a photo I took from the Xiaochang Entry-Exit Hall (real shot):
The following figure shows the time consumed from a person entering to coming out in a smooth situation:
(If it doesn't go well, the smart terminal will prompt a messy prompt, for example, no face detected, etc.)
0x03: Summary
This time I followed my girlfriend to apply for a passport, which made me think about the smart terminal, we can't blindly use smart terminal devices, before using smart terminals, we try to ask ourselves a few questions, what kind of convenience can the equipment bring us? Can equipment help us improve our work efficiency? What is the difference between before and after the device?
Why didn't Shanghai use smart terminals in the entry and exit photo collection process? Is it because Shanghai has a small population? Is it because Shanghai has no money to purchase smart terminals?
If smart terminals can't really help us and improve work efficiency, what's the use of being smart?Taking a lot of money to purchase these so-called smart devices, but reducing our work efficiency, isn't this spending money to find guilt?
Having written so much, I hope everyone can understand the meaning of smart terminals.
