Use BitComet to make torrent files

Open the Torrent Maker dialog box

Method 1: Drag and drop the file or directory you want to make a torrent into the BitComet main window or floating window

Method 2: BitComet "Main Menu" → "File (F)" → "Create Torrent File (M)"

The Make Torrent File dialog box pops up

Specify the seed file or directory

Source file

Select the type "Single file" or "Entire directory (multi-file)" and click Select the file or directory as the torrent content.

Chunk size

By default, it automatically adjusts based on the size of the selected file. (Recommended default settings)

BitComet multi-server specificationServer grouping: refers to a group of servers that are interconnected and information shared, such as multiple ports of the same server. DHT Network Node: refers to the address of any BitComet client in the DHT network that has been online for a long time. In general, you don't need to fill in the box, just check the 'Add DHT node to tracker server list' in the "Options".

By default, the auto-generated path is the directory of the torrent content file. If you want to modify it, you can click to select the save path of the torrent file or directly modify the save path.

Filling in the URL address of the same file as the torrent content can help downloaders get data from the http server and speed up the download speed.

When the torrent content is published as a single filePlease fill in the specific URL address of the file. For example: the published file is named :file.exe

If the torrent content is a single file, please enter the specific URL address of the file. For example: the published file is named :file.exe

When the published torrent content contains multiple files, the file name can be omitted from the URL address, but it must end in /. For example, the directory name (i.e., the task name) of the published directory is: movie314

Tip: The web torrent list supports multiple mirror site addresses, but only one per row can be filled.

Finally, when you confirm that all operations are complete, click "Create" to finish.

Note: After the torrent file is made, it needs to be published on the BT publishing site. Also, don't forget to open your local BitComet to upload this task, otherwise others will not be able to download it without the torrent.
