Hardware preparation: including server hardware and SMP system dongle.

SMP system involves customer business network operations, so the installation of SMP system server hardware must meet the minimum system configuration requirements, otherwise there will be problems such as slow authentication, high server CPU usage, slow access to the management page, etc. It is recommended to use the recommended configuration

Minimum configuration:

Dell PowerEdge R710

CPU: Intel Xeon E5606 2.13GHz 4-core*2

Memory: 4G

Disk: 130MB throughput rate, 100G and above capacity

Network: 1000Mbps full duplex NIC*3

Recommended Configuration:

Dell PowerEdge R710

CPU: Intel Xeon E5630 2.53GHz 4-core*4

Memory: 16G

Disk: Throughput rate of 266MB and above, 200G and above capacity, 500G is recommended.

Network: 1000Mbps full duplex network card *3

Hard disk zone division recommendation:

C disk: install the operating system, the total capacity of at least 80G or more

D disk: install SMP system and SQL Server database, with a total capacity of at least 200G.

E disk: backup database files, total capacity of at least 200G

The disk format for storing data must be NTFS format.

The RG-SMP software relies on the USB dongle to achieve License authorization and control the maximum number of users the SMP system can manage. When the software starts, the system will check whether there is a USB dongle on the server, if the dongle does not exist, the software will automatically stop starting.

The SMP dongle is a hardware product used for software protection on the USB port of the computer, in the shape of a small USB flash drive.

1, collect the license authorization purchased by the customer, confirm that the customer's dongle authorization is sufficient to meet the customer's actual environment and expected demand, such as the SMP system users more than the license authorization, will not be able to continue to add new users.

2、Confirm that the customer's server has a USB port, and the SMP dongle can be inserted normally.

3. Make sure the SMP dongle is inserted before starting SMP service.

4、After the SMP service is started, you need to check the actual SMP authorization information and compare it with the authorization information purchased by the customer, if it is inconsistent, you need to re-burn it through the return process.
