Requirements: Use the Charles Proxy tool to capture HTTPS requests and responses sent by the app software. Charles Proxy supports remote HTTP proxies.
First, follow the tutorial below to complete installation and configuration on a Windows computer, as follows:
Enable remote proxy and configure the following:proxy -> proxy setting -> proxies, default port8888, as shown in the figure below:
To check your computer's IP address, use help -> local IP address or cmd to enter ipconfig, as shown below:
Or maybe it's herehelp -> ssl proxying -> Install Charles Root Certificate on a Mobile Device or Remote Browser, as shown in the figure below:
Connect your iPhone to WiFi, ensuring it is on the same LAN as the packet capture tool on your computer. Find the specific WiFi name, configure proxy settings manually, and add the IP address and port, as shown below:
Open it using Safari browser:

Download the configuration description file, as shown below:
Open your iPhone, find: Settings - > General - > VPN and Device Management, install the description file, as shown below:
At this point, HTTPS data packets still cannot be captured properly. You need to find the following on your phone: Settings - >General - > Under Local - > Certificate Trust Settings, enable trust for this certificate, as shown below:
This will allow you to properly capture HTTPS requests from your iPhone. If you cannot access the website, please check whether your computer has enabled the firewall. |
