Cisco Packet Tracer is a network simulation tool developed by Cisco to provide network engineers, students, and technicians with a physically free network topology build environment. The tool supports the simulation of routers, switches, and other devices, and can configure and troubleshoot OSPF, EIGRP, and other protocols, and strengthen the understanding of network communication principles through visual packet transmission. Its core functions include drag-and-drop topology design, command line/graphical interface configuration switching, real-time traffic monitoring, and SDN controller simulation, and the software and its related documentation are limited to creating, displaying, or running network simulation files within the scope of Cisco Network Academy.
