Elasticsearch uses elasticdump to back up and migrate data

Requirements: Recently, I need to migrate the data in Elasticsearch, search for information online, and export index mapping mapping and data through the elasticdump tool.

Elasticdump works by sending an input to output, both of which can be elasticsearch URLs or file paths.

Elasticsearch URL format:

Format: {protocol}://{host}:{port}/{index}
Example:http://127.0.0.1:9200/my_index

File Path:

Format: {FilePath}
Example:/Users/evantahler/Desktop/dump.json

type parameter

Support: data (default), settings, analyzer, mapping, policy, alias, template, component_template, index_template

You can install the elasticdump tool through npm, I won't download it here, I will directly use docker to export the data here. The version of Elasticsearch used in this article is: 6.5.2

Export the mapping file

Export the mapping of my_index to the local disk /tmp/my_index_mapping.json with the following command:
