2: Import the iDRAC9 license

It is recommended not to go to the VMware official website to download ESXI, but directly through the official DELL website, after all, DELL engineers have already tested it for us, add some unique drivers, the compatibility should be better.

- Each image is a customization of a specific version of the base VMware image. Dell customizations for this image include:
- Modify the file to identify Dell and Dell support.
- Update the ESXi image with the latest proven asynchronous driver.

Four: Install VMware ESXi
Open the iDRAC management platform and open the startup virtual console, as shown in the following figure:
Click Virtual Media -> to connect the virtual media and select Map CD/DVD as shown in the figure below:
Select the "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-7.0.0.update02-17867351.x86_64-DellEMC_Customized-A04.iso" file we downloaded, as shown below:
Click Start and select Virtual CD/DVD/ISO, as shown below:
Restart, tap on the console's power - > normal shutdown - > normal boot. At this time, we can see the installation interface of ESXI, as shown in the figure below:
Click on the keyboard and click "Enter" to continue, as shown below:
Select the storage device and continue to click "Enter" to continue, as shown below:
The keyboard layout remains the default, and you can directly "enter" to continue, as shown in the figure below:
Set the admin password (Be sure to remember), as shown below:
On the installation confirmation screen, click "F11" to install, as shown in the figure below:
ESXI will start the installation as shown below:
After successful installation, we are prompted to press "Enter" to restart the system, as shown in the figure below:
At this time, even if ESXI is successfully installed, you can press F2 to modify some settings after entering ESXI, such as: setting a static IP address, disabling the IPv6 protocol (omitted), and after setting it, as shown in the figure below:
We can enter the IP address prompted by ESXI in the computer browser to open the web management interface, as shown in the figure below:
